Every year the ISRS/AAO the world’s leading refractive society with over 6000 members chooses an individual who has made significant contributions to the research and knowledge of laser eye surgery and honors him with the Michael Kritzinger Award – this year’s honoree was Yaron S. Rabinowitz M.D.

The award was presented to Dr. Rabinowitz at the annual ISRS/AAO gala dinner at the Venetian Hotel at this years’ American Academy of Ophthalmology meeting which had a record attendance of over 20,000 eye doctors.

This is Dr. Rabinowitz’s fourth award in recent years. In addition to this award, he has been the recipient of the Jules Stein/UCLA Alumni Research Award, the American Academy of Ophthalmology Honor Award and only the 3rd American eye doctor in recent history to be honored by the French Eye Society the second largest eye society in the world.
